You asked for it Kaitlin and Lara

I am getting great pressure from my daughters to write something. My life is not all that interesting, but I did think of something the other day as I was driving home from Salt Lake. This is a tribute to those I love. Who are the top ten people that you know?
Top Ten People (that I actually know, in random order)
1. My dad. Although he died almost 23 years ago, his influence is still strong in my life. I miss him and love him. I was blessed to be part of his family. From him I learned humor, testimony, love and diligent service.
2. My mom. As I grow older I learn to better appreciate her. I hope as I age that I will stay as active and interested in life as she does. She enabled me to learn many things as I grew up. She has always been a good example of service to others.
3. My husband. In the middle of raising seven children your husband can easily get pushed to the end of the line. Now that we are home alone together, I know more than ever that he is my best friend. I enjoy being with him and I cherish this season of our lives.
4. My walking buddies. I guess if I had sisters I might not appreciate these friends as much as I do. They are always good for a laugh, a cry, or a helping hand. They have been there with me for 26 years of walking. We can agree or disagree. I love them and I need them. The exercise isn’t bad, either.
5. My college roommates. These friends are also my sisters. Time and distance separate us, but we have stayed in touch all these years. Lately, email has brought us even closer. I love them also and look forward to what they write. They have been a great influence on my life. I want to be like them.
6. My daughters. I count them as two of my greatest blessings. It was so fun to have them in our home when they were young. Now, I depend upon their advice from home décor to how to dress. I made them promise to tell me when I look ridiculous as I grow older. I want them to keep me young. They have a big job ahead of them. They are and will be good mothers. I love them.
7. My sons. I am so proud of these five men that Heavenly Father sent to our home. I appreciate their humor and fun, their testimonies, and their goodness. I am a little concerned about their biking habits, but I guess you shouldn’t expect perfection. They are and will be good fathers. I love them.
8. My daughters and son-in-laws. These are good people. They have brought so much to our family. I thank them for all they have taught me. I love them as if they were my very own. They are good partners and parents.
9. My grandmas. Both of my grandmas influenced my young life. Grandma Bodily encouraged my love of literature. She was gentle and kind and I miss her. Grandma Jenkins encouraged my love of pancakes and banana splits at Woolworths. She made fun times for my cousins and me to get together. I miss her also.
10. My friends. These friends are also my sisters. We have served together in church callings, raised our children together, sent missionaries together, and helped each other at weddings and family events. How can anyone go through life without good friends? They know who they are as I have told them how much they mean to me. I love them.
