NOAH'S ARK
Just when I thought we were about done with the big mess in our house... Last night just before we were going to bed, Tristan could hear a noise in the basement. He went down to investigate and found three inches of water everywhere. It seems the plumber had hooked up the sink in the bathroom downstairs and it wasn't tightened and it burst. It had been running for hours. At 10:30 we placed a frantic call to the plumber, got the carpet cleaner here with his pumps, and called neighbors and Carson to help us move furniture out. It was a soggy, wet, experience. They pumped out 100 gallons of water in just minutes and pumped out another 200 after that. Tristan believes there are still 100-200 gallons left in the pads and carpet. Today they are coming to pull out the pads in the bedrooms to see if we can't save the carpet. We have furniture everywhere. It looks like it ruined the new cabinet in the bathroom downstairs. Maybe it will dry out. Anyway, no pictures to show you, it isn't a pretty sight.
