Just returned from our long awaited trip to New York City. Surely it must be a sin to have so much FUN! We laughed, we shopped, we saw the sights, we shopped, we stood in lines, we shopped, we ate good food, we shopped, we ate bad food, we shopped, we walked, we shopped, we saw Wicked, we shopped, we went to the U.S. Open, and yes, we did a little shopping. It was truly a dream trip for the girls with nary a man to say "whoa". (Maybe they should have).
We braved hair drooping heat, blistered feet, hidden doors in shops that led to back room purse deals, a midnight mob and view? off the Empire State Building (not on purpose), Lady Liberty (who said, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore....and she was just talking about those of us in line for the ferry), and we even found Moroni in the midst of Manhatten. What a trip. It was so much fun it was just Wicked!
What a fun trip! I keep waiting for all the pics so that I can post, you had a lot of the good pictures. That was the best trip ever, I have had so much fun unpacking and enjoying all of the fun things we came home with and the fun memories. Thanks so much, you are a wonderful mom and I love you lots!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! I have been to New York twice but that makes me really want to go back! Glad you made a must stop at Tiffany's! and also glad you survived that crazy heat! You looked so cute with your black necklace! :-)
