EEEEK!

I came into the family room this afternoon and a movement caught my eye in the sunroom.  There was a mouse just sauntering across the  hardwood floor ready to cross into the family room.  I chased it back into the sunroom where it just stopped and stared at me.  So I ran into the kitchen and got a big bowl to cover it and make it my captive until Tristan gets home to take care of it.  I chased it into the corner where it made little squeaking noises and reversed directions towards me.  Then I started screaming, and it started squealing.  I screamed and chased it around the sunroom and just before it ran under the chair I slammed the bowl down over the top of it.  The bowl was half on the rug and half off and I was afraid it would get out.  So I slid the bowl over onto the hardwood floor.  When I did, the tail came out and the mouse squealed again.  I screamed again and ran and got some books.  Right now the mouse is under the bowl with books on top of the bowl.  At least I hope it is still under the bowl.  But trust me, I am NOT going to lift it up to make sure.

It is a fat little mouse and it stared me in the eye and squealed.  I think it was moving slower than normal because maybe it is a mama mouse ready to have a bunch of babies.  I am feeling a little guilty because of the eye contact, but I can't wait for Tristan to get home and get rid of it!

  5. I can't believe you caught it! She must be ready to give birth! They are fast little things. I hear the mice are out more this year than ever. I hope that wasn't a photo you took yourself! If so, I'm proud of you! Why do those little tiny mice make us scream? I have some stories myself. Cindy
