St. Croix Trivia: During hurricane season we sometimes turn on the TV to watch the weather forecast. Each time we do, we see this weatherman with his quirky stuffed parrot puppet. The weatherman always wears crazy Hawaiian shirts and often Bob the Parrot wears a matching shirt and says, "Hot, Hot, Hot!" We have wondered, WHY? Elder DeMille has thought for a long time that the parrot was covering an amputated arm! Tonight I googled him and found that his arm is fine and he acts this way for "Weathertainment." I also learned that he actually records the weather broadcast in his studio in ERIE, PA. He doesn't even live in the Caribbean! There are many interesting things about living here, and watching the weather is just one of them!
