A little over 38 years ago Tristan and I went ring shopping. It was really exciting and something every girl dreams about. Tristan bought me a wonderful ring on our student budget that has lasted all these years. Recently, the prongs wore out and I needed to get them repaired. Tristan told me he wanted to get me a new ring instead of fixing it, so we have been looking a little here and there. Yesterday after his checkup on his shoulder at the doctors office in Provo, we went looking. At first it was fun, then it was confusing, then it seemed extravagant, then when we went back and looked at this ring for the second time, it felt good. So now I have a new ring on my old fingers but still have my old husband who I love and appreciate so much for being so thoughtful and sweet.
Diamonds in the channels between the prongs, too!
Afterward, we were almost as giddy as the first time and Tristan said we should go out and have dinner at a nice place to celebrate. After stopping at two or three places that were packed and too long of a wait, (on a Friday night!) we ended up at good ol' Chuck-O-Rama. Nice new ring, same old Chuck-o-Rama, just like back in the old days and really the perfect end to the night. It was a fun, fun day. Thanks, Tristan, I love you.
