This week our some of our Stake Primary board were able to attend the General Primary Training meeting on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. When the day was over, we walked back through Temple Square to return to our car. We passed two sister missionaries walking towards us. My heart did this weird thing it always seems to do when we have one of our children out on a mission. My heart wants to leap out and make me run over and hug those missionaries! I controlled myself and just gave them a big smile instead, and said "Hello Sisters!" But as I did, I looked over at my friend, Holly, who is also in our stake primary and whose son just left on his mission for England. Her heart was doing the same thing as mine. I could see that same look on her face that she could see on mine and so we burst out laughing. I think mothers of missionaries belong to a wonderful club. It is nice to know that someone else knows how you feel.
I just finished listening to the afternoon session of General Conference. The choir was composed of Elders and Sisters from the Provo MTC. Again my heart does that strange thing. And then I began to feel that warm feeling that let me know there were about 54,999 other mothers listening to conference today whose hearts may be doing just the same strange thing. I like being in their company!

P.S. My brother Ed and his wife Karen have a missionary who just flew to Germany. It is so fun to have someone else in the family to share missionary experiences!

I know I can't know exactly what the mother would feel but oh boy! from reading the letters from Houston I have felt so much of the spirit. My testimony has been getting strengthened and I have caught myself tearing up while reading his letters and feeling so grateful to have a missionary brother and being able experience all this stuff, It really is great!
